Ok so just found out today we are getting our bonus this year YIPPPEEEE! That means I get a new computer so can quit vid crashing in Aion. I have a limit of 1000.00 to spend. I have actually had some good luck with deals through Cyberpower PC so was messing around on there this morning and came up with this system. Please give me input. If you are suggesting I build a system and want to help price out what I need, please remember, I have not built a system before and I will need everything for it (OS, cables etc) so please include ALL parts when showing me prices. I am up for any ideas, but would like to have something solid by next Thurs-Fri when my bonus hits so I can order.

Because I am going to hand it down to my kids since the computer they are using is about 8 years old, no longer can be upgraded (agp vid card slot, 80 gig hard drive keeps getting filled up)

Looks pretty nice for just over 1k. Might consider an SSD drive for the OS and a couple games that you want to load superfast.... dunno how much your bonus is, but id also look at maybe upping the ram to 6 or 8 gigs, though 4 should be good for awhile still.

SSD = Solid State Drive, meaning no moving parts. Think of it as a gigantic flash drive emulating a hard drive.  There's plenty of those on your list, but of course they're more pricey.

Check Newegg.com too they sell Cyberpower packages.  If you can swing 200 more you could get out of that amd crap Tongue and get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229150 .
Better graphics card and more hard drive space.

Yea the SSD hard drives are just too spendy for me right now. Hitu, I want to make sure I go with about a 1000w power supply, while that one is nice, I am not sure. Looks like Cyberpower will be changing their specials for next week so as soon as I find out exactly how much after taxes I am getting I am going to look at the intel option as well and see what I can work up. Thanks everyone!

The only reason you would need a 1000 power supply is if you were planning on upgrading it later.  If you are planning on running it in SLI/Crossfire later then I would go with their 1100 PSU that is SLI/Crossfire ready.  Also make sure you get a motherboard that is SLI/Crossfire ready too.  With the video card there is a huge difference in the 5770 and the 5850 in benchmarks so if you can swing that upgrade I would.  Then later on you can add another 5850 and jump your performance by a ton!

I looked on their site and if you did a couple upgrades to set your self up to be able to upgrade it in the future you could get a really nice set up for around 1400.
